5 myths about unvaccinated people

1. Unvaccinated people are egotistical
2. Unvaccinated people are antivaxxers
3. Unvaccinated people believe in and are driven by conspiracy theories
4. Unvaccinated people don’t believe in or trust in science
5. Unvaccinated people are less intelligent

The above are some of the judgements I've heard the last year, and I want to tell you about me and many of my friends.

1. Self-love is so often mistaken for being egotistical these days. This is not only in regards to the vaccine, it’s present everywhere.
Words like narcissism, egoism, unsolidarity are used way too often, words we do not benefit from becoming trendy.
To me, the level of self love is what makes me say yes and no, never my level of egoism. I feel this is often the case, that our love of ourselves, our bodies and our freedom are considered to be selfish.
This is so far from being the truth, as we often care much about people in our surroundings. We take precautions and accept restrictions and protect the elderly and help out as much as we can.

2. No, to not take this particular vaccine does not mean we are antivaxxers. We do not have to be fanatics to say no to one thing, we can eat fish one day and be vegetarian the next and it’s the same in this case.
We feel into what’s good or bad for us, and for some unexplanatory reason, my whole being says no this time. (I do not need to explain myself, what is, is.)

3. What is a conspiracy theory? I am absolutely clueless when it comes to this topic. I believe in God and Love and trust my Intuition and inner wisdom and I honestly don’t want to dive deeper into this topic.

4. Why would saying no to one certain type of treatment mean we don’t believe in science? I love science and I’m brought up by a surgeon and a professor and I see absolutely no conflict with science and saying no to one particular treatment.
Does this mean that if you get cancer and you say no to chemo, you don’t believe in science? Or you just don’t want chemo?

5. What if it’s the opposite? That we do think and made an intelligent decisions of our own?


I’m so tired of people trying to make me into something I’m not.
